Kylie sheets may seem like a simple enough thing to work out, but there are things you can do to both help increase absorbency and prolong their lifespan.
A standard single bed sheet (fitted or flat) should first be placed over the mattress, followed by a Kylie Waterproof Draw Sheet.
The Kylie Supreme Absorbent Bedpan should then be placed on top of the draw sheet with the blue side facing up - this is the side that will come in contact with the patients body.
Both the draw sheet and Kylie Supreme should be positioned on the bed in such a way to cover the area between the patient's shoulders and knees.
The Tuck-in's should then be placed under the mattress to help keep the Kylie Supreme firmly in place and to prevent wrinkling.
The Kylie Supreme should be washed prior to being used for the first time to obtain maximum absorbency.
The product has been specifically designed to absorb urine while keeping the patient's skin comfortably dry. To obtain maximum benefit, the patient's skin must be in direct contact with the blue surface of the Kylie Supreme. Urine-soaked sleepwear can have an adverse effect on skin integrity.
In most cases the patient's skin should be comfortably dry after a full nights sleep with no pad changes required. Remember that a Kylie Sheet has a limited life-span and needs to periodically be replaced to ensure maximum efficiency!
