Moving around inside the home can be difficult with a mobility issue. There are a number of items designed to assist in walking around, but most of them require two hands to operate. What if you want to bring your dinner from the kitchen to the table? Or perhaps you want to take 4 or 5 books from the study to the lounge room? A rollator can help slightly, but even they have their limits for carrying. A traymobile, or tray walker, is a better option for indoor mobility.
Different traymobiles have varying features, but the common feature is four wheels or castors with two trays for carrying objects. The trays are large enough to bring plates of food or other bulky delicate items around, and strong enough to cart heavier objects. Some tray mobiles even have braking systems for those who want that little extra safety around the house. Tray mobiles are generally not recommended to be used outdoors. They do not have a seat or basket, and most don't have brakes, so a rollator may be a better option for outside.
Forearm support frames are designed to keep the users weight off their lower body by supporting their fore-arms. These frames are often bulkier than the traditional type and need to be very strong as they the user exerts more of their weight thereon.
