As mentioned previously in the 'Mobility Shop Site News' blog, we recently upgraded our shipping engine. We are now able to accurately deduce shipping using LxWxH measurements and dead-weight. So far, this upgrade to the website has been successful and all subsequent testing has produced accurate results with a nominal margin of error. To assist with the problem of items that are NOT flat-packed (shower chairs, shower stools, over-toilet aids etc.) we have created our own box that fits many large items. This allows us to keep shipping accurate and ensure a high delivery standard with little damage to goods. However, due to these products being quite large (and thus the boxes themselves being quite large) the shipping amount can sometimes return higher than you might expect. If this is the case, try looking in our range for similar products that are flat-packed or require a little assembly: you will often then discover that the shipping has decreased due to the physical box size reducing.
