Over the years I have been asked quite a bit 'what is more popular- shower chairs or shower stools?' The truth is they are equally as common- both have their pro's and con's and what will work well for one customer will be dangerous for another. Firstly, the major difference between a stool and a chair is that the 'shower chairs' have a backrest for support. The back is used for added stability and allows the occupant to wash safely without added risk of falling backwards.
However, a shower stool is not without its advantages either. Sometimes a backrest can hinder people (especially those with limited movement) from properly washing their back. It also greatly increases the overall footprint of the product and some people find that a shower chair is too large to fit inside their shower cubicle.
The Days shower stool is constructed out of heavy duty aluminium- which means that it is not going to rust in 6 months time. It also has a generous user capacity at 125kg. The legs, which are height adjustable to allow for a 'one-size-fits-most' arrangement, have rubber stoppers on the bottom to stop the feet from slipping.
And yes, for those of you who still prefer the shower chair's, there is a chair variety too. It is a folding type and both these items can be found in our 'Shower Equipment' section.
